Archiving & Digital Preservation Policy

The Journal of medical Food and Nutrition is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. Our archiving policy follows recognized best practices to safeguard the scholarly record.

1. Digital Archiving Services

All published articles are deposited and preserved in the following archiving systems:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PN) – Provides decentralized and secure archiving.

  • LOCKSS / CLOCKSS – Ensures content remains accessible even if the journal ceases publication.

2. Institutional & National Repositories

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit published versions (Version of Record) in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • National libraries

  • Subject repositories (e.g., Zenodo, ResearchGate, PubMed Central if applicable)

3. Self-Archiving Rights

The journal allows:

  • Immediate self-archiving of the published PDF in personal, institutional, or public repositories, with proper citation to the original source.

4. Persistent Identifiers

Each published article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to ensure permanent findability and linking.

5. Backups & Preservation

  • Multiple redundant backups are maintained on secure servers.

  • Regular integrity checks are performed to prevent data loss.
