Highlights:
Retraction Policy
The Journal of Medical Food and Nutrition (JMN) follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines when considering the retraction of published articles.
An article may be retracted if there is clear evidence of:
Plagiarism or copyright infringement.
Data fabrication, falsification, or image manipulation.
Duplicate or redundant publication.
Serious ethical misconduct or violations of research ethics.
Major errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions.
Retraction notices will be published promptly, remain permanently linked to the original article, and clearly state the reason(s) for retraction. The original article will remain accessible as part of the scholarly record but will be clearly identified as retracted.
Corrections Policy
The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record.
Erratum: Issued to correct minor errors introduced during the publication process that do not affect the scientific content or conclusions.
Corrigendum: Issued to correct significant errors made by the authors that do not invalidate the study's findings.
Retraction: Issued when errors or ethical concerns substantially affect the reliability, validity, or integrity of the published work.
Corrections will be linked to the original article to ensure transparency.
Preprint Policy
The journal accepts manuscripts that have previously been posted on recognized non-commercial preprint servers, provided that the work has not undergone formal peer review or been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Authors must disclose the existence of any preprint version at the time of submission and provide the relevant preprint DOI or URL, where applicable. Following publication in JMN, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with a citation and DOI linking to the final published Version of Record.
Appeals Policy
Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision may submit a written appeal to the Editor-in-Chief, providing a detailed justification and any supporting evidence.
Appeals will be reviewed fairly, objectively, and confidentially. Where appropriate, the appeal may be evaluated by an independent editor or additional expert reviewers. The decision following the appeal shall be considered final.
Complaints Policy
Complaints regarding editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, or journal policies may be submitted to the Editorial Office.
All complaints will be acknowledged promptly and investigated fairly, impartially, and confidentially in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. Appropriate corrective actions will be taken where necessary.
