For Authors – Journal of Medical Food and Nutrition (JMN)

We welcome contributions from researchers, clinicians, nutritionists, food scientists, and professionals worldwide.
The following information will guide you in preparing and submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Medical Food and Nutrition.

1. About the Journal

• Type: Peer-reviewed, open access, biannual.

• Scope: Medical foods, functional nutrition, dietary interventions, food science, and related health topics.

• Publisher: Ceyon Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd., on behalf of the International Society for Medical Food and Nutrition (ISMN).

2. Before You Submit

Please ensure that:

• The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.

• All authors meet the criteria for authorship and have approved the final version.

• Ethical approval has been obtained for studies involving humans or animals.

• All data, figures, and tables are accurate and clearly labelled.

• You have read and understood our:

3. Manuscript Types Accepted

• Original Research Articles (3,000–6,000 words)

• Review Articles (4,000–8,000 words)

• Short Communications (up to 2,000 words)

• Case Reports (up to 2,500 words)

• Commentaries / Letters to the Editor (500–1,500 words)

4. Submission Process

• Manuscripts should be submitted via Online link only ( https://www.jmnworld.com/submitjnm ).

• Include:

  • Main manuscript file (Word format)

  • Figures and tables (separate high-resolution files)

  • Cover letter

  • Ethical clearance statement (if applicable)

• A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission.

5. Peer Review

• All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two experts.

• Review time: typically 4–6 weeks.

• Authors receive detailed reviewer feedback and may be asked for revisions.

6. Open Access & Licensing

• JMN is an open access journal.

• All content is free to read, download, and share immediately upon publication.

• Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

• Authors retain copyright.

7. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

• Article Processing Charge (APC)

• JMN charges an APC only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been accepted for publication.

• International Authors: USD 150

• Authors from India: ₹12,500

• No submission fee is charged.

• The APC supports editorial management, peer-review administration, copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, website maintenance, digital publishing, long-term preservation, and journal operations.

• Editorial decisions are completely independent of APC payment.
