Abstract

Chronic diseases also called lifestyle disorders take years to occur and most of them are untreatable. Some of these which this article talks about are diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, liver diseases, obesity, thyroid disorders, PCOD, and even sleep disorders. These sorts of diseases have an increased incidence among the urban working class due to their faulty lifestyle practices. This article deals with all these diseases their complications and how they affect our lives. This article also reflects on what factors lead to poor mental health and subsequently depression. The article also deals with stressful life among youth leading to disruption in the sleep cycle and circadian rhythm and thus leading to an increased risk of lifestyle disorders.
